PRESCOTT, Ariz. - Services for Stephen Carroll Liane, 54, were held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 27, at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St. in Prescott. Mr. Liane died at Yavapai Regional Medical Center on Sunday, June 22, 2003.

Stephen Liane was born April 10, 1949 in Superior, Mont. He attended schools in Billings, where he graduated from Billings Senior High. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968, working as an X-ray technician, serving in Vietnam as a medic attached to the 101st Airborne. After being discharged from the Army, he worked in X-ray in Richland, Wash., later moving to Phoenix, where he worked in several hospitals in the area.

Mr. Liane later worked for National Training Institute, a division of Virgo Publishing, Inc., where he wrote articles for Looking Fit Magazine. He also helped regulate the standards for indoor training in all 50 states, and developed and delivered training seminars to workers in the indoor tanning industry. In Montana, Steve served as district manager for Maxim Health Services, coordinating influenza clinics.

On March 21, 1982, he married Yolanda Ramirez. Together, they lived mostly in the Phoenix area, spending three years in Billings before moving to Wilhoit in 2000.

  He is survived by his wife, Yolanda; daughters, Shannon Marie and Ashley Monique Liane, all of Wilhoit; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debra Liane; and grandchildren, Anthony, Angelina, and Chase Liane, all of LaCenter, Wash.; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Max Fields of El Centro, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Carroll and Ruth Liane.
